David Banks, third son of David & Marilda Banks
Born March 17, 1828
Proclaimed to be born again in the spirit in the winter of 1841
and in other respects gave evidence of the
faith except in not uniting with the Church
Died February 16, 1847
aged 18 years, 10 months & 28 days.
By nature blest with strength of mind
By taste to ___ his life inclined
In spirit guile, kind and pure
Ready for Christ the shame to endure
Rearing his soul with meek salvation
In all things with public profession
We thought that God despaired for thee
On earth some useful stiny
A last in vain since thee was fled
Life's flattering morning thou wast ad
Farewell thou son and brother blest
Till we shall enter on our rest.
